The first webinar in the VaxSocial Learning Seminar series provides an overview of the VaxSocial program and early insights into how social media is being used to support immunization efforts. This session dives into emerging findings across the portfolio, with a focus on reach, engagement, and innovative strategies for using digital platforms to drive vaccine confidence.
The webinar features two grantee spotlight presentations:
- Nigeria – Upswell, Silver Lining for the Needy Initiative, and WellaHealth: These organizations are implementing hyper-local social media campaigns to connect caregivers with pharmacists and encourage HPV vaccination. Their approach includes training pharmacists in digital engagement, conducting behavioral insights research, and sharing findings through reports and publications.
- Indonesia – CISDI (Center for Indonesia’s Strategic Development Initiatives): CISDI is taking a capacity-building approach by training healthcare providers, community health workers, and influencers to deliver accurate vaccine information. Their Multi-Channel Decision Support System includes a hotline, website, WhatsApp support group, and social media outreach through Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
